Official Expendables Poster | Jun 08, 2010

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Lionsgate has just unleashed the final poster for Sylvester Stallone’s testosterone fest, The Expendables. Last week they released a new trailer for the film that was less than action-packed and filled with gimmicks. It focused more on the talent than the movie itself, which is exactly what this one sheet does. It’s all about the acclaimed action stars that make up the cast as opposed to the “story.” Take a look…

The Expendables stars Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Steve Austin, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, and for a brief cameo, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Check out everyone with the exception of the Governator featured on the poster above.

Jason Statham and his lingerie model girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley look very loved up as they soak up the atmosphere at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. The 22-year-old British beauty who formerly modelled for Victoria's Secrets has been unveiled as the new 'body' of Monsoon's Spring/Summer 2010 lingerie collection. Despite some bands being grounded in Europe due to a ban on all flights out of many European countries following the eruption of and Icelandic volcano, the festival is enjoying sellout crowds.

Men's Health Duplicate Cover | Dec 12, 2009
Word on the street is that Men's Health editor-in-chief Dave Zinczenko has checked out of editing the magazine. So why bother writing new cover lines for the latest issue when the ones from October 2007 will do?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Aside from the different celebs—the new cover features Taylor Lautner and the old one Jason Statham—the entire left side of cover lines has virtually identical copy and layout: the six pack abs, the poster, the results in nine days, the "gain muscle, lose weight," the ultimate nutrition plan, and the eat better and think smart. The 1,293 is the same even though apparently then it was what women want in bed and now it is tips to get money, fitness, sex, and nutrition. Is there something about the number 1,293 that focus groups really well? Or maybe a numerological thing?

A few details on the covers have been changed. Now we get "tech toys" instead of "hard muscle" above the title, the sexy women have migrated to the right hand column, and the "best body ever" has gotten a little bit smaller. The December '09 cover has no "get-rich secrets" because, well, in December '09 ain't no one getting rich.

Anyway, aren't all Men's Health covers interchangeable anyway?

Mechanic Update | Oct 26, 2009
Filming began Monday Oct. 14th, on a remake of the 1972-hitman flick "The Mechanic," this time starring Jason Statham as he steps in place of the original Charles Bronson.
The Millennium films crew has set up shop at a vacant car dealership lot on U.S. 190 at Claiborne Hill in Covington.
No need to fear any theatrical flourishes, though, as Statham and cast members will be surrounded by St. Tammany Parish sheriff's deputies during driving sequences. In fact, on Monday Statham wasn't even driving.
The film crew is scheduled to shoot driving sequences in the area through Friday and then move to New Orleans, possibly coming back to the north shore before leaving Louisiana in mid-November.
Donald Sutherland, who has not yet arrived on set, is starring with Statham, along with Ben Foster, from "X-Men: The Last Stand" and "Six Feet Under."
The original film was about an aging assassin (Bronson) who takes in an up-and-coming hit-man played by Jan-Michael Vincent, under his wing.
Statham recently wrapped up the big-budget, Sylvester Stallone-directed actioner "The Expendables" in New Orleans.

The Nu Image/Millennium feature film "The Mechanic," began filming and will shoot for 9 weeks in New Orleans. Please send resumes by email to

Artemis Fowl | Oct 02, 2009
I am not quite sure how true this is because it isn't easy to obtain info on this venture, but I did come across a Poster for the movie that just may shed a bit of light or of course give us an opportunity to see Jason on the cover. The only thing being said is that Jason is to get the role of Butler, but again no true source of information obtained as of yet, but I will keep you posted...

Blitz Update | Oct 02, 2009
Last week, a new crime thriller called Blitz, starring Jason Statham, Paddy Considine and Aidan Gillen from The Wire, wrapped up after shooting for 45 days on locations throughout London. They filmed a car chase all the way from Bayswater to Battersea, ending up with a cat-and-mouse game in a south-of-the-river Tube depot, had helicopters hovering above Holborn Circus and shut down the Old Kent Road for a day.
