Yesterday, Jason was spotted leaving the Urth Cafe in Los Angeles. Statham spent about 45 minutes eating with two friends at the trendy healthy eatery before getting up and bidding them goodbye. He was casually dressed wearing his trade mark aviator looking sunglasses on a chilly day in the city. |05| Leaving Urth Cafe 11-18-07 (Candids - 2007) |

"The big question everyone wants answered is how does Jason Statham’s character survive for a sequel to be made. When I asked Brian this question at Comic Con he started telling me about this cool video he found on You Tube where a skydiver fell to earth unable to open his parachute. The real life video footage was shot from a helmet camera. The interesting thing about this video was the guy got up on his two feet and began walking immediately after the fall, working on pure adrenaline. Brian wouldn’t tell me how Chev Chelios survives, but would only remark about this viral video with a grin. Producer David Rubin recalled shooting the last scene in Crank, how “we all laughed because ‘there would never be a sequel to this movie.’” He went on to say that that “the way they’ve answered it is really exciting and fun. It’s really funny and really clever.” Recently Hollywood Reporter did a story about Statham returning for the sequel titled Crank 2: High Voltage, and even gave away a few plot details: “Chev faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered artificial ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.” When asked about the “robotic heart,” Rubin laughed and stated “It’s funny. I saw that published, and I just kind of chuckled. I don’t know if you would call it robotic. That was a real stretch.” So who knows what gimmick might be used . Rubin promises that we’ll be entertained by their answer." |

| Understanding Revolver | Nov 08, 2007 |
GUY RITCHIE is begging American cinemagoers to stop attacking him for his ultra-violent 2005 flop REVOLVER. The film, starring Jason Statham, Ray Liotta and Andre Benjamin, is only just getting released in America, but movie fans are already letting Ritchie know what they think about it. |
| In the Name of the King Review | Nov 07, 2007 |
LOOK OUT! Uwe Boll is back! Whether that's a bad thing or a terrible thing is up to debate. His latest is an 'epic' fantasy with an 'all-star' cast including Jason Statham, Ray Liotta, Claire Forlani, John Rhys-Davies, Leelee Sobieski, Ron Perlman, Matthew Lillard, AND Burt Reynolds as The King! Seriously... is it gambling debts or a stack of incriminating photos that compelled all these actors into this river wild of career suicide?!? Thankfully I saw this with a crowd at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, who understood full well what we were in store for, and could actually enjoy it as we laughed and commiserated with each other. Dr. Boll himself was on hand for a Q&A, which included him bad mouthing Ray Liotta, and telling us how Jason Statham thinks the film is 20 minutes too long. |

Tough guy Jason Statham has officially signed on to return as hitman Chev Chelios, who must face a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered artificial ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working. The film will continue seconds after the conclusion of the first movie, meaning many of the characters, even those you thought were dead, will also be returning for the sequel. |
| US Television Premieres | Oct 30, 2007 |

Lionsgate has cut a $20 million pact with USA Network and its Sci Fi Channel sibling for smallscreen rights to a package of pics. Pact is the most lucrative basic-cable movie rights deal in Lionsgate's history. USA is gung ho for Jason Statham as an action-movie lead, buying three of them in the Lionsgate package: "War" (available early 2010), "Crank" (early 2009) and "Chaos" (also early 2009). In "War," Statham co-stars with Jet Li. "Chaos," which co-stars Wesley Snipes and Ryan Phillippe, will make its world TV premiere on USA. - Variety |

| Hollywood United Charity Game | Oct 29, 2007 |
Soccer star DAVID BECKHAM is lining up his L.A. Galaxy teammates to take part in a charity football match - against actors JASON STATHAM, ANTHONY LAPAGLIA and VINNIE JONES. Beckham is teaming up with Hollywood United in an effort to raise some much-needed cash for the victims of the wildfires which swept through Malibu, California. The match between L.A. Galaxy and Hollywood United is set to take place at L.A.'s Home Depot Center on November 4th."(L.A. Galaxy) wanted to do something to help after seeing the wildfires on the TV. The MLS (Major League Soccer) season has finished so they were free to play a match and all thought it would be a great idea to do one for charity. "They wanted to assist as the fires are on their doorstep and there are lots of money-raising events and donations going on. "David particularly wanted to help. He has been watching the fires on TV and was stunned at the devastation. He hopes they raise a lot of money for the victims." |
